22 Weeks Baby Bump

Baby H,
22 weeks, Look at how much you have grown! The past few months have gone by so fast!! We know the next few months will hold lots of excitement and anticipation as we prepare for your arrival.

Week 7 You had a growth spurt... crown to rump length is 0.16 to 0.2o inch. By the end of the week you will double in size, to about 1/2 inch. You are about the size of a BB pellet. This is the week Mom got really sick. 7 weeks and 1 day, we got to see your heat beat during the visit to the ER. Your brain is growing and developing. Your heart has divided into right and left chambers.

Week 8 crown to rump length is about 1/2 to 3/4 inch. You are about the size of a lima bean. Your arms are longer and bend at the elbows.

Week 9 crown to rump length is 1 to 1 1/4 inches. You are about the size of a medium olive. All week we called you "Olive". Your toes are formed and your feet are recognizable.

Week 10 crown to rump length is 1 1/4 to 1 3/4 inches.  You are about the size of a small plum.

Week 11 crown to rump length is  1  1/2 to 2 1/2 inches. Your weight is about 0.3 ounces and you are about the size of  small lime.  Your finger nails are appearing.

Week 12 crown to rump length is almost 2 1/2 inches. Your weight is between 1/3 and 1/2 ounce. You are rapidly growing. And Mom is still feeling sick w/ "morning, noon, and night sickness", but you are healthy and that is what is important.

Week 13 crown to rump length is 2 1/2 to 3 inches. Your weight is between 1/2 and 3/4 ounce.  You are about the size of a peach.

Week 14 crown to rump length is  3 1/4 to 4 inches. Your  weight is almost 1 ounce. You are about the size of my fist.

Week 15 crown to rump length is 4 to 4 1/4 inches. Your weight is about 1 3/4 ounces. You are close to the size of a softball. You could be sucking your thumb right about now.

Week 16 crown to rump length is 4 1/3 to 4 2/3 inches. Your weight is about 2 3/4 ounces. Fine hair covers your body and head.  Your fingernails are well formed. You can move your arms and legs.

Week 17 crown to rump length is 4 1/2 to 4 3/4 inches. Your weights is now about 3 1/3 ounces. This week you are about the size of my hand spread open.  You are beginning to accumulate a little weight. I felt you move a little this week. It makes Mom's heart so happy to feel the flutter  of you moving.

Week 18 crown to rump length is 5 to 5 1/2 inches. Your weight is bout 5 1/2 ounces.  You look like a perfectly formed baby.

Week 19 crown to rump length is 5 1/4 to 6 inches. Your weight is about 7 ounces. You  are continuing to develop into a healthy little baby.

Week 20 crown to rump length is 5 2/3 to 6 1/2 inches. Your weight is about 9 ounces.  Wow, we are at the half way point to full term.

Week 21 crown to rump length is about 7 1/4 inches. Your weight is about 10 1/2 ounces.  You are about the size of a large banana. Your organ systems are maturing. You are able to swallow.  Mom is feeling better this week.

Week 22 crown to rump length is about 7 1/2 inches. Your weight is about 12 1/4 ounces. Your eyelids and eyebrows are well developed.  Your organs are becoming specialized in their particular functions. Mom has been feeling great all week. We did a little shopping to find things for your 1st room. It has been tough to pick out just the right decor, but the best part is that as long a you are here and healthy the decor is just fun not necessary.
Finally we took a baby bump photo
Week 22:

July Bday....

I knew I would forget some one's July bday when I posted. And I did!! How could I forget Dylan's 9th bday?!! After all he is one of the coolest kids I know! I adore Dylan and his little sis Sofi. They both have the best personalities. So sweet, so smart, so dang cute, so clever, Neither shy!! I love them!! They are the niece and nephew of my BFF. They are like family to me!!

Dylan celebrated in a super cool way w/ a family Rockband Party. Dylan loves music and is taking guitar lessons, so Rockband is right up his alley. The whole family got in on the fun.  Happy Birthday Dylan!! Rhonda Sue and Tommy think you are one cool kid and we hope Baby H is as cool and smart as you. Thanks for letting us celebrate w/ you.

Christi & Dylan Jammin
Miss. Cutie Sofi.. I LOVE this girl. If Baby H is a girl I hope she has the same sweet personality as Sofi and my niece Chloe.
Christi giving me lessons. I was so tense trying to play the drums.  I have No rhythm.. it is sad!!
Lead Singer Erin, Rockin out! (Dylan and Sofi's mom) Now  you know where the kids get their good looks.

20 Week Check Up & Sonogram

Baby H,
For weeks we have been watching the calendar for July 28, our scheduled sonogram. Why? Oh, because we get a look inside your current world and see all those beautiful healthy features. The doctor said you look great!! You do..you look perfect! All organs look healthy and are functioning, sweet music to our ears. Your weight is right on target 9 oz. Your heartbeat was 132 at the time of the sono..you were just hanging out, reaching for your toes. Daddy wonders if you have long toes & big feet like your mom. You have a cute little button nose and beautiful features. I love that your sonogram profile already gives us a vision of what you look like. Keep up the good work, baby. Keep growing and stay healthy.
Right now I can always count on you moving around and stretching about 4/5 in the afternoon and again at night around 10/1030 at night. I love feeling you move, kick, stretch. Dad has been able to put his hand on my tummy to feel you a few times.... he loves it too, but sometimes he misses the chance because you are too quick. We really like feeling you wiggle around..it is a little gift to us.
Soon I will start to pick out all the things needed for your room at home w/ us. We are exciting to see you in December. New due date is Dec 10. Your GG, is OK w/ you missing her birthday date, Dec 12, but i know she would think it is a BIG DEAL if you did share her special day. Either way you are already extra special to her. Your cousin Chloe loved looking at your first photos and both her and Colton are excited to meet you. We are all so excited!! Your Coco, Hatty & Gana, your Aunts and Uncles, GG, Grandma...all of us!
Baby, you are covered in prayers.
We love you,
Mom and Dad

Celebrating our vows "In sickness & in health"

Engagement Feb 2006

July 22, Tommy and I celebrated 2 fantastic years of marriage. We have had so much fun in these 2 years. Lots of traveling and I do means lots!!! We had a dream vacation planned by Tommy last November. Seriously, we feel so blessed w/ our health, family, friends, and adventures.
This anniversary we decided to head to Denver for a few days. Tommy has always wanted to take me to the Red Rocks in Denver for a concert. He claims that it is the BEST place to hear a concert. So, there happened to be a concert on our anniversary, The Police (Sting). No we are not Police groupies, but we like them well enough to hear them at the Red Rocks. Then we planned on meeting up w/ friends back in South Padre, Texas mid week for a little beach action.

Nothing went as planned.
For starters Hurricane Dolly was predicted to hit Padre on Wed..right when we were due to arrive. So, we nixed that plan and looked for another destination to finish out our week.

Monday, July 21. Headed to Denver (after a not so sick free weekend for me)
I was feeling decent when the trip started. The flight was OK, a little too hot and feeling queasy on the flight, but not too bad. But, we did cancel our dinner reservations in Denver and headed a little more low key dinner on the way to the hotel.

Tuesday, July 22. Happy Anniversary!! I slept in late. We headed out to a local Pizza buffet for some yummy food. About 4 minutes after sitting down at the restaurant I started to feel sick, really hot, queasy, heart pounding. I take about 3 bites of food and decide we gotta go before I pass out. Poor Tommy was so hungry and trying to eat so fast. We paid and headed back to the hotel w/ the a/c full blast in the car. Tommy got me settled in the room, a/c on 65, ice rag on my neck, and then he headed to the store for snacks, Gatorade, bottle water, and food for me. Our goal was for me to rest up because we had the concert in a few hours. About 1 hour 1/2 before the concert I tossed my "cookies". Oh, it was horrible!!!! We decided to try and sell the concert tickets because the heat at the out door concert probably was not the best place for me. UGGHHH! We were so disappointed. But, luckily the tickets sold. So, we ordered room service, discussed our alternative South Padre plans (thanks Hurricane Dolly), rented a $14.99 movie via the hotel. Fun Stuff!!! We love you baby H! I felt so bad that our whole reason for the Denver trip was to go to the Red Rocks and here I was sick as could be in a hotel room. I was hoping for a fun date night w/ my husband. Tommy was such a trooper! He reminded me that as bad as I felt we were still celebrating a blessing w/ this baby. He is so right!! We are one healthy little family, just morning, noon, and night sickness and this will pass. Thank you honey, for celebrating in sickness and in health, in good times and bad. Sorry it was not what we had planned, but we were together and as always made the very best of the day.

Wednesday, July 23. In bed all day. Up long enough to shower and pack bags. Headed to the airport just in time to go home. We canceled the idea of heading to a beach location for the rest of the week since I still was feeling pretty bad. At this point I need our bed!!! Get to the airport for a 2 hour delay. YEAH!!! Flight home was good. And Thank Goodness for great friends that pick you up at 1130 pm on a weeknight. Love you Leslie, you were right it was much better than a cab. Welcome to a dead car battery..no problem easy fix.

Happy 2nd Anniversary, Tommy!! I love you w/ all my heart and queasy tummy. You are so giving, loving, thoughful.... thank you for taking the care of me and baby h...no one could do it better than you. I am sure next year will be full of surprises too.

OH, We did not take one stinkin' photo of the trip. All we would get capture would be: hotel room, airport, room service, Bennigans, rental car.

Helping Hands

Sunday a team of girlfriends  w/ helping hands came over to help me pack, organize, and decorate our townhouse, all in the name of preparing for OPERATION SELL TOWNHOUSE. Tommy and I are in the great townhouse that he owned before we married. We love it, but it is time to move on and make room for Baby H, for me to finally see all the things I have had packed the past 2 years, and decorate a new home. For a few months Tommy and I have planned on getting the townhouse ready, but it has taken the back burner since I have been sick. So, my sweet girlfriends came over Sunday ready to work! THANK YOU!!!!! All the packing, organizing, and decorating will make all the difference in the OPERATION SELL TOWNHOUSE. Just a few more projects for the handyman and we are set. Then the rest will be up to the Lord providing the right buyer and the right new home for us (PLEASE KEEP THAT IN YOUR PRAYERS).
Alison, Melinda, Leslie, Christi, Cassandra, and Scott, THANK YOU for all your help.
Baby H has the best loving "aunties" and Uncle.

One of my favorite women, Rosemary (Alison's mom), also prepared a home cooked meal for Tommy and I. Rosemary was so sweet to surprise us w/the delivery of this yummy meal. Anything Rosemary cooks is a treat, but this was extra special because we really needed a home cooked meal since we have been headed for take out a lot lately. Thank you Rose, for loving use like one of your own. I know Baby H is really lucky to have "Honey' love on him/her. Honey is one of a kind, special lady.

July Celebrations #1 Birthdays & Good News

Good News!!!!
I am finally feeling good! Yeahh! No running to the bathroom, no stopping the car to pull over, no nausea, no seabands!  I mean I feel good and it feels good to feel good after 11 weeks of morning, noon, and night sickness. I did start a new med last week, so it is either my miracle drug or I just finally turned the corner. Either way I feel good. Praise the Lord!!!

"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well."
Psalm 139 13-14

July is packed full of birthday celebrations for some of my loved ones.
My cousin Richard, My nephew Colton, My dear friend Melba (we met in 7th grade) , My Mom, My Dad, My fun friend Stacy (fun because I always have the best laughs w/ her),  "HRH" Johnny, My 1/2 brother Bill. Whew.. I hope I am not leaving anyone out I am sure there are some distant cousins I am missing (my grandma would be able to tell me, she knows everyone's b-day).

Happy Birthday!!  I love each of you and cherish you all. Each one of you is special to me and I am so glad that God gave us a extra special day to celebrate your birth.

Mom & Dad. Dad passed away 2 years ago.
Happy Birthday Mom! I pray this year God touches your life in a way that is forever changing.
Happy Birthday Dad! What a celebration you get to have everyday!

Melba. Tommy  & I had dinner last week w/ Melba, her husband, and 2 sisters, Monica & Laurie. They all looked so beautiful and we had a great time. We laughed A LOT!!!

My cousin Richard. We spent most of our younger years joined at the hip hanging w/ Grandma every weekend. Boy oh boy did we have some fun times playing barbies, GI Joe, dress up, and going to church. I am older by a few years so Richard always gave in to what I wanted to play.

My Nephew Colton. I love Colton. He loves to build, play w/ his younger sister, dive off the big diving board @ the UP pool, play w/ Uncle Tom, LOVES anything sweet and loves most anything a typical 5 year old boy does. Colton is a cutie and I love to hear him and Chloe call me Aunt Rhonda...it melts my heart. Colton is going to be a good big cousin to Baby Hatfield.

Stacy is the cute blonde!!
Liz, Me & my too fake tan (part of my 70's look ; ) ), Stacy, & Jennifer (JoMo). Celebrating Swedeapalooza: Swede's 30th. 1976 Theme!!
